British and Irish Worlds: In Progress Session, Wednesday, November 12

Colin Reid

On Wednesday, the British and Irish Worlds research group is holding an 'in progress' session with three members of staff: the idea is for each to give us an idea how their research is progressing in an informal setting, which will led on to a wider discussion. The speakers and and titles are:

Tanja Bueltmann and Lesley Robinson, 'Researching British and German Expats in Asia: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives'.

Joe Hardwick, 'Days of Humiliation, Prayer and Thanksgiving in the British Empire, 1790-1914'.

The session will be in Lipman 035 at 2pm on Weds 12 November. Everyone is very welcome. Please see also our call for papers for a workshop on 'Loyalism and Loyalists in the British Empire', which the B&IW Group will convene in April 2015.
